Chicago Yacht Club member Bill Templeman and General Manager Jim Clark were recently presented with a Lighthouse clock by Executive Director Dr. Janet Szlyk and Assistant Executive Director Terry Longo in appreciation for the Yacht Club's generous outing for the Lighthouse.

Last week's warm sun and movement of the lakefront waves are feelings many will never forget, thanks to the Chicago Yacht Club and its members, who recently hosted an outing for Chicago Lighthouse participants, staff and friends who are blind or visually impaired.

One of this summer's Lighthouse scholarship recipients, Brittany Massey, was profiled in Harry Porterfields "Someone You Should Know" segment Thursday, September 4 during the 5 p.m. newscast on ABC TV/Channel 7.

The Sun-Times featured comments from Jim Kesteloot and Ray Campbell on challenges hybrid cars, which are virtually silent when running under 20 miles per hour, present to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Breaking News

The Chicago Journal recently published a profile about Lighthouse President Jim Kesteloot and the organization's expansion and developments achieved under his leadership.
